My five-year hiatus from live speaking was a lesson in itself—the wisdom to not speak until you are sure of what you need to say.
"The truth I needed was inside me, not outside. While wise counsel is valuable, it's ineffective if we don't have the 'ears to hear' it."
A significant part of gaining wisdom is the process of "unlearning"—stepping away from teachings that prove untrue. This reminds me of the Serenity Prayer: knowing the difference between what we can change and what we must accept.
The grace found in public failure is a gift. Being humbled enough to pause, seek counsel, and discover your authentic truth is the catalyst for genuine wisdom.
We often think only the "stars" have power, but wisdom teaches us that impact requires balance. Both roles are essential.
In front of the camera. The visible face of the message.
The producers and crew. The force making it happen.
The greatest words I ever spoke were, "Take my life, it's yours."
Surrender isn't giving up; it's acknowledging that the Creator has the "instruction booklet" for your life. This direct relationship is the only way to find the right path and operate as intended.
