    Before You Build

What Is a Media Company in a Box?

A media company is not only a TV station, podcast studio, or big business. A media company is a system that helps you turn your story, knowledge, talent, mission, or community into content, trust, audience, offers, and income.

    Identity

Who you are, what you stand for, and why your voice matters.

    Audience

The people you are called to serve, teach, inspire, or help.

    Content

Your posts, videos, audio, writing, teachings, interviews, or stories.

    List

Your email list, WhatsApp group, community, or direct audience connection.

    Offer

The product, service, donation path, book, course, or help you provide.

    Your Simple Tool Stack

    What You Need To Begin

Do not overcomplicate this. You can begin with a phone, an internet connection, one page, one email list, and one clear message.

    1. A Phone or Computer

Your phone is enough to begin. A computer makes editing easier, but it is not required. Start with what you have.

    2. Systeme.io

Use Systeme.io to create a simple website page, signup form, funnel, or email list. Think of it as your first digital headquarters.

    3. Your Story

Your story is the seed. Your skills, scars, lessons, gifts, training, testimony, creativity, and mission become the content.

    4. An Email List

Your email list lets you stay connected even when social platforms change. Examples include Systeme.io email, Mailchimp, ConvertKit, Brevo, MailerLite, or a WhatsApp community to start.

    5. Simple Images

Use your own photos, a logo, Canva graphics, or free image sources like Pexels, Pixabay, or Unsplash. Clear and honest beats fancy and confusing.

    6. One First Offer

Your first offer can be a consultation, service, class, book, product, donation link, community, or free guide that starts the relationship.

    Websites You Can Actually Use

Here are simple websites you can use while building your first media company. Do not try to use all of them at once. Pick what you need for the step you are on.

    Build Your Page

Use Systeme.io for your first landing page, email form, simple funnel, and basic online platform.

    Open Systeme.io

    Create Graphics

Use Canva to make logos, social media posts, simple website graphics, thumbnails, flyers, presentations, and short videos.

    Open Canva

    Free Photos & Videos

Use Pexels when you need free stock photos or short video clips for your website, posts, or background visuals.

    Open Pexels

    More Free Images

Use Pixabay or Unsplash when you need photos, backgrounds, textures, or simple visuals that match your message.

    Open Pixabay Open Unsplash

    Image Links

Use Imgur when you want to upload an image or short video and use a link instead of uploading the file directly to your page.

    Open Imgur Upload

    Host Videos

Use YouTube Studio to upload public or unlisted videos, then embed them on your page. This is usually easier than uploading large videos directly.

    Open YouTube Studio

    Clean Video Embeds

Use Vimeo when you want a cleaner, more professional-looking video embed for trainings, presentations, or portfolio videos.

    Open Vimeo

    Edit Short Videos

Use CapCut or Canva Video to make short vertical videos, captions, clips, and basic promo videos from your phone or computer.

    Open CapCut Open Canva Video

    Beginner Rule

Start with Systeme.io for the page and email, Canva for graphics, Pexels for free photos or videos, and YouTube Studio for video hosting. Add more tools only when you actually need them.

    Phone or Computer

    Choose Your Builder Path

You can build this from a phone or a computer. The steps are the same. The screen is the only difference.

    Building From Your Phone

Open your mobile browser. Create or log into your Systeme.io account. Use your notes app to write your text first. Then copy and paste it into your page.

    • Write your headline in your notes app.
    • Save your best photo to your phone gallery.
    • Upload the photo directly into the page builder if possible.
    • If the image is already online, copy the image link and paste it where the builder asks for an image URL.
    • If you want to add a video, upload it to YouTube as unlisted, then paste the YouTube link or embed code into your page.
    • Test every button by tapping it.

    Phone Builder Tip

Do not try to design everything perfectly on your phone. Your first goal is not perfection. Your first goal is a working page with your story, your offer, and a way to contact or join your list.

Phone rule: build simple, publish, test, improve.

    Building From a Computer

A computer gives you more space to see your page, drag sections, upload images, embed videos, and organize your content.

    • Create a folder for your logo, photos, videos, and text.
    • Open Systeme.io in your browser.
    • Build one landing page first.
    • Upload small images directly if they are ready.
    • Embed large videos from YouTube or Vimeo instead of uploading them directly.
    • Preview your page on mobile before sharing it.

    Computer Builder Tip

Use your computer to organize your full media system: page text, images, email messages, content calendar, offer ideas, video links, and all important links.

Computer rule: organize once, reuse everywhere.

    The 7-Day Challenge

Build It One Day at a Time

Do not try to build everything in one sitting. Follow the days in order. Each day gives you one clear task.

    01

    Choose Your Mission

Write down who you help and what you help them do. Keep it simple.

    • I help ________.
    • I help them with ________.
    • I do this because ________.

Today’s result: one clear mission sentence.

    02

    Name Your Platform

Your name can be your personal name, a movement name, a show name, or a mission name. Do not get stuck here.

    • Choose a simple name people can say.
    • Write a one-line promise.
    • Pick three words that describe your brand.

Today’s result: name + promise + brand words.

    03

    Build the First Page

Create one simple page in Systeme.io. Your first page does not need to be fancy. It needs to be understandable.

    • Add a headline.
    • Add a short introduction.
    • Add one image.
    • Add one video only if it helps explain your message.
    • Add a button or signup form.
    • Add contact or social links.

Today’s result: your first landing page draft.

    04

    Create Your Email List

Your email list is how people stay connected. Start simple. You can use Systeme.io email, Mailchimp, ConvertKit, Brevo, MailerLite, or even a WhatsApp community while you are beginning.

    • Create a signup form.
    • Offer a reason to join.
    • Write one welcome message.
    • Test the form with your own email.

Today’s result: people can now join your list.

    05

    Create Your Content Pillars

Content pillars are the three to five topics you talk about again and again. They help people understand what you are known for.

    • Pillar 1: Your story or testimony.
    • Pillar 2: What you teach.
    • Pillar 3: Who you serve.
    • Pillar 4: Behind the scenes.
    • Pillar 5: Your offer or mission.

Today’s result: your first content map.

    06

    Publish and Share

Now share the page. Do not wait for it to be perfect. Share it with people who know you and ask them what is clear and what is confusing.

    • Share it in WhatsApp.
    • Post it on Facebook or LinkedIn.
    • Add it to your bio link.
    • Send it to five trusted people.

Today’s result: your media company is public.

    07

    Improve and Add Your Offer

Your first offer can be free or paid. The goal is to create a next step for people who want more.

    • Free guide or checklist.
    • Consultation or call.
    • Book, course, or workshop.
    • Donation or support link.
    • Service or product.

Today’s result: your first offer path exists.

    +

    Keep Going

After the 7 days, your job is to keep publishing, listening, improving, and serving. A media company grows because the message keeps moving.

    • Publish weekly.
    • Build your list.
    • Improve your page.
    • Create helpful content.
    • Make your offer clearer.

Ongoing result: your platform becomes an asset.

    Images & Videos Made Simple

    Upload Files or Use Links?

Beginners get confused here, so keep this simple. There are two ways to place images and videos on your page.

Content Simple Option Link / Embed Option Beginner Tip
Images Upload the photo or logo directly into Systeme.io from your phone or computer. Upload the image to Imgur, then paste the image link into your page. For beginners, direct upload is easiest. Use Imgur when you need an image link.
Free Stock Photos Download a photo from Pexels, Pixabay, or Unsplash, then upload it to your page. Some platforms allow using an image URL, but direct upload is usually simpler. Choose images that match your message. Do not use random “pretty” images.
Short Videos Upload small video clips directly only if your page builder supports it and the file is not too large. Upload to YouTube Studio as public or unlisted, then embed it on your page. YouTube unlisted is usually the easiest video option for beginners.
Professional Videos Keep the video file saved on your computer or phone. Upload to Vimeo or YouTube, then embed the video. Embedding keeps your website faster than hosting large video files directly.
Simple Promo Videos Create the video in Canva or CapCut, export it, then upload it to YouTube. Use the YouTube embed link on your page. Make a 30–60 second welcome video first. Do not start with a 20-minute video.

Simple rule: upload images directly, embed videos from YouTube or Vimeo.

    Common Questions

    Beginner FAQ

These are the questions most people ask when building their first media company page.

Do I need a logo before I begin?
No. A logo is helpful, but it is not required. You can start with your name, a clear headline, and one honest photo. Add a logo later with Canva.
What should my first page include?
Your first page should include a headline, a short introduction, who you help, what you help them do, one image, one email signup or contact option, and one clear next step.
Should I upload videos directly to my page?
Usually, no. Large video files can slow a page down. For beginners, upload the video to YouTube Studio as public or unlisted, then embed the video on your page. Vimeo is another good option for cleaner professional embeds.
What if I do not have an offer yet?
Start with a free offer. It can be a checklist, a short guide, a voice note, a 15-minute conversation, a WhatsApp community, or a helpful resource. The first offer is about starting the relationship.
Should I use email or WhatsApp?
Use both if you can. Email is better for long-term ownership. WhatsApp is powerful for fast community connection. If you are just beginning, start with whichever one your audience already uses.
Where do I learn the full framework?
The full framework is inside Media Company in a Box. This page gives you the beginner version. The book gives you the deeper system for building, publishing, monetizing, and owning your media infrastructure.

    Your Story Is Infrastructure.

You do not need permission to begin. You need a message, a simple page, a way for people to connect, and the courage to publish before everything is perfect.
