Pioneering a New Approach to Healthcare: An Interview with Dr. Julia Bramwell

by Joshua T Berglan

In a world where conventional medicine often falls short, Dr. Julia Bramwell has carved out a unique niche, embracing a holistic, preventive approach to healthcare. Her journey from a traditional medical background to a pioneer in alternative therapies is nothing short of remarkable. I had the privilege of sitting down with Dr. Bramwell to explore her inspirational story and gain insights into her innovative practice, Invest In My Health Corp.

Joshua:
Dr. Bramwell, can you share your journey of transitioning from traditional medicine to a preventive health and wellness model?

Dr. Bramwell
: Certainly, Joshua. It was a pivotal moment in my life when, at the age of 49, I found myself grappling with my own health issues. Despite being a doctor, I realized that I wasn't receiving the care I needed. This personal struggle led me to explore wonderful preventive health modalities and alternative medicine options that not only helped me heal but also opened my eyes to a new paradigm of healthcare.

Joshua:
What inspired you to start Invest In My Health Corp?

Dr Julia Bramwell Worlds Mayor Experience

Dr. Bramwell: I was working for a large, national urgent care chain, and over time, I became increasingly burnt out and disillusioned with the corporate values that governed the practice. I knew I needed to create my own medical practice, one that aligned with my beliefs and allowed me to provide care that truly resonated with my values.

Joshua
: You have a diverse medical background, including pediatrics, emergency medicine, and alternative therapies. How does this broad experience influence your approach to patient care?

Dr. Bramwell:
I'm incredibly proud of my vast and varied experience spanning 26 years in the medical field. This breadth of knowledge allows me to approach complex medical problems with confidence and empathy, especially when working with clients who have exhausted all other options. My exposure to different practice settings has provided me with an invaluable medical education that informs my holistic approach to patient care.

Joshua:
You've personally navigated health challenges and used non-mainstream methods for your own healing. How has this personal experience shaped your approach to patient care?

Dr Bramwell

Dr. Bramwell: Going through my own health journey has given me a deep understanding and empathy for those facing chronic or difficult-to-treat medical conditions. I've experienced firsthand the powerful mind-body connection and how a troubled mind can manifest physical ailments. This knowledge has been instrumental in my approach, as I strive to heal the body by addressing mental health and mindset.

Joshua:
You've been a pioneer in offering treatments like IV glutathione and B12 injections before they became popular. How do you stay ahead of the curve in the medical field?

Dr. Bramwell
: Mainstream medicine is typically 10 to 20 years behind the latest medical innovations. To stay ahead, I actively seek out cutting-edge information and techniques. I listen to medical podcasts, attend conferences with speakers at the forefront of new approaches, read extensively, and engage with online communities of like-minded, progressive medical professionals. This continuous learning allows me to embrace precision medicine and provide my patients with the most advanced treatments available.

Joshua
: Can you tell us more about your work with ketamine therapy for treating depression, PTSD, and pain syndrome?

Dr Bramwell

Dr. Bramwell: Just two years ago, I stumbled upon the use of ketamine, a decades-old anesthesia medicine, for treating mental health issues. While mainstream doctors were largely unaware of this application, studies have shown ketamine to be 70% effective in treating conditions like depression, PTSD, and pain syndromes, compared to only 30% efficacy for traditional psychiatric medications. After taking a course and experiencing ketamine therapy myself, I've seen firsthand its remarkable potential for offering relief with minimal side effects.

Joshua
: You've expanded your services to include Peptide Therapy. Can you share more about this and its benefits?

Dr. Bramwell
: Peptide therapy is another cutting-edge modality that I only recently discovered. Most mainstream doctors are still unfamiliar with it. Peptides are amino acid sequences that mimic natural chemicals produced by our bodies, and they can be utilized for a variety of purposes, including weight loss, joint health, immune support, and healthy aging. For instance, BPC157 is a peptide that can be injected or taken orally to promote healing of joint injuries and reduce gut inflammation.

Joshua
: How do you ensure that your practice provides extremely personalized attention to each patient?

Dr Bramwell

Dr. Bramwell: At my one-woman medical practice, personalized care is at the core of what we do. I handle all administrative tasks, from emailing paperwork to scheduling appointments, ensuring that every client receives my undivided attention. Our process begins with a comprehensive review of any existing bloodwork, and I can also offer specialized testing, such as hormone panels, micronutrient analysis, biological age assessments, and DNA testing for disease predisposition. Through in-depth consultations, we collaboratively develop a tailored plan to optimize each individual's health.

Joshua
: What is your vision for the future of Invest In My Health Corp?

Dr. Bramwell
: I've developed a particular passion for mental health and the use of psychedelic medications like ketamine, psilocybin, and MDMA. While psilocybin and MDMA are not yet legal for medical use, their efficacy in scientific studies is remarkable. As soon as they become legally available, I plan to incorporate them into my practice. Additionally, I will continue to utilize precision medicine through specialized blood testing and vitamin and nutrient IV therapies to optimize overall health and address deficiencies that can contribute to a wide range of issues.

Joshua:
How do you foster a supportive and empathetic environment in your practice?

Dr. Bramwell:
Being a one-woman practice, I am the sole provider, and I strive to create an environment that is inherently supportive and empathetic. My clients can expect a therapeutic and healing experience from start to finish, a stark contrast to the often impersonal and broken mainstream medical system.

Joshua:
Finally, what qualities do you look for in individuals who join your team, and how do these qualities contribute to the overall mission of Invest In My Health Corp?

Dr Julia Bramwell The Worlds Mayor Experience

Dr. Bramwell: While I'm not currently hiring, if I were to expand my team, I would seek out individuals with natural kindness, optimism, and a high vibration. Kindness is a quality that cannot be taught, and it's essential for providing the exceptional client experience that my practice embodies. Every aspect of our interaction should contribute to the therapeutic and healing environment we aim to create, offering a transformative and rejuvenating experience that sets us apart from traditional medical practices.

As our conversation drew to a close, it became evident that Dr. Bramwell's journey is far more than just a career path – it's a calling to revolutionize healthcare, one patient at a time. Her unwavering commitment to holistic wellness, coupled with her willingness to embrace cutting-edge therapies, positions her at the forefront of a paradigm shift in the medical field. Invest In My Health Corp represents a beacon of hope for those seeking a truly personalized and empowering approach to their well-being.  Thank you for reading, Joshua
